Story
HVP UK is fundraising to buy land for the development of a community centre on the outskirts of Kathmandu which will provide education and shelter for under-privileged people including orphans, disabled children, suppressed women, senior citizens and war victims.
The centre will empower people through the provision of literacy and numeracy classes, as well as various adult training programmes, giving people the correct skills to earn personal income.
A rural site has been selected and a deposit paid to secure the land. Now HVP UK needs to fundraise £40,000 to buy as much of the land as we can!
It is the aim that if enough land it purchased, then not only will the site be self-sufficient, but it will also be able to provide an improved home for 50 children who are currenly living in a local school.
For each £10 donation, we are able to buy another square metre of land - land that will be used for years to come to improve the lives of many people. With your donation you will receive a digital certificate. If you wish to give the donation as a present to someone then we will send you a card and a certificate in the post (please write "P" under comments). You may donate the money for as much land as you wish; for example the land for a small room (25 square metres) costs £250, the land for an allotment (10 square metres) costs £100, or the land for living quarters (100 square metres) costs £1,000.So please dig deep and donate now.
