Story
Eight of us from work......
Graham Hill,George Marshall,Gary Edmundson,Mark Glendenning,James Kitchin,Jimmy McLoughlin,Neil Doney,James Halley......have decided to do this epic cycling challenge on behalf of Rett UK. We decided upon this charity as one of the cyclists, Mark Glendenning, has personal experience of this little known syndrome. His daughter Geena was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Please see her gorgeous picture below...
Rett syndrome is a severe, life long neurological disorder with no cure. It affects mostly girls. It could occur in any family and affects approximately 1 in 12,000 girls born each year.
This is no leisurely stroll. A NONE STOP CHALLENGE peddleing DAY AND NIGHT. We will be aiming to complete the ride in around 48 hours. We will tackle it in teams of two riders changing every few hours, hopefully arriving safe and sound (if not just a little tired) in John O'Groats on Monday 30 May 2016.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
