Windsor Half Marathon 2009 · 27 September 2009 ·

Sebastian’s Action Trust supports children with life-limiting conditions and those who love them. We help families navigate the emotional and practical difficulties that come with caring for a child with complex needs and provide a place where families can connect, relax and make precious memories.

Story

5 Langlanders are soon to embark on a grueling test of physical ability and sheer determination...and thats just prising your wallets open!

We plan to run the Windsor half marathon on Sunday 27th September and in the process raise money for a truly worthwhile cause: Sebastians Action Trust.

As each of us are adopting very different approaches to the run, I have selected 5 quotes which I think best suit each individual and will help give you an insight into our respective forthcoming tours de force.

1. Karen Phelps:

"Success isn't how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started."

Is the Windsor course a loop because I'm just not sure whether this would still apply?

2. Whitney Andrews:

"If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail."

Hence why Whitney is tearing up the Thames path most weekends.

3, Rae Brodie.

"Run like hell and get the agony over with!"

Canada is better known for its [complete as appropriate], rather than for its long distance runners.

4. Charlie Hunt

"You have a choice. You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face."

Charlie is better known in some parts as Betty Swallocks.

5. Gareth Coady

"Run Forrest, Run!"

But surprisingly, I'm pretty rubbish at table tennis.
