Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Well im now back from the Sahara and accomplished my mission. Yeah!!!! Wow it was hard work 90k in 42 degrees heat, but it was work everything. The group were great and everyone did well. I really want to hit the £2000 mark so please if you can spare some money every penny helps. Its still not to late to donate. Now i have accomplished this mission, you may now want to sponsor me. Its all for a great cause...KIDs we all have them so please help me support them. whats more its for kids in the South, here so what better a cause than that. All of us worked very hard on this trek with a lot of time given to train to before leaving. It would mean alot to me, so please donate and do a good thing. I also have put a newletter together, so please email me at lara_skan@hotmail.com if youd like to see all the news of the trek and photos.
My challenge was on 18th March -23rd March 2010
I myself have had alot of support over the last couple of years at facing some personal problems and because of that i now want to do something to help others who are also struggling with difficulties in life. Cash for kids is a charity that helps kids financially, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged. I firmly believe in this day and age no child should go without their basic needs being met, food, clothes, education, health needs, guidance and support for their future. Which is why im giving up my annual leave and funding this experience myself to support this cause. I will be trecking across the Sahara dessert walking 6 hours a day in the gruelling heat. This will be a hard challenge but every step will be worth it as i will know that i will be helping children with the help they need to a better life. Please help make it possible for me to achieve this personnal goal. It would mean the world to me if i can do this one thing and knowing that my friends are there to support me do this.
