Launceston to Lagos · 24 November 2007

We provide hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their families. Hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. For further information about our trip please visit our website www.launceston-lagos.com

On the 5th of June, we are going to cycle from Launceston in Cornwall to Lagos in the southwestern tip of Portugal. We will cover the length of France and Spain before crossing Portugal, and have to make it over the Pyrenees in the process. We are aiming to complete the trip in just 19 days. Our total distance will be some 1300 miles (if we don't get lost along the way!).

Rob Hall and Sam Morton have kindly offered their time to travel with us as a support crew, who will drive by car and meet us at various points each day.

Children's Hospice South West accepts children and families from South Gloucester, Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. All the children who use the Hospice will have Life Limiting, or Life Threatening Conditions, which mean that they are not expected to live into adulthood. Some families may use the hospice for many years, from the time the child is first diagnosed, they may come for planned respite, or for emergency care, depending on their needs and the support that the family request.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Children's Hospice South West will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please take just a couple of minutes to sponsor us, and make it all worthwhile!
