Hi Guys,
For anyone who has known me for a few years you will have heard or seen the way cancer has too often 'visited' my family and chipped away at us. Losing a parent to cancer is the most horrendous and heartbreaking thing to go through, but a parent losing a child to cancer is just too unbearable to consider.
There's no comfort in 'oh they had a good innings', or 'he lived a good life'. Their lives will barely have begun. They wont have had a chance to create even a quarter of what the majority of us have, and often take for granted.
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. EVERY DAY. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’ They’re the only charity dedicated to making this happen.
Again anyone who knows me, will know I'm more of a dancer than a runner so this is definitely a challenge, but merely a drop in the ocean in comparison to what these teens, and this team must go through every day.
Any amount you can donate would be so greatly appreciated, no matter how small.
Big love x
