!Hello there! We are about to embark on a mammoth journey across Scotland. At the end of May we plan to walk the West Highland Way which is around 100 miles from Milngavie (near Glasgow) to Fort William and on the last day stomp up Ben Nevis. I think you should all damn well sponsor us as its going to be a mission and we haven't really done any training, so 10-15 miles a day along with wild camping, mosquitos and carrying our stuff is going to hurt! Don't worry, it's all for a very worthy cause. We have been volunteering for The Food Chain over the past year or so. The Food Chain is a fantastic grass-roots charity that provides a vital service for people who are chronically sick as a result of HIV related illness. We're aiming to raise £400 (more would be better!) to fund the Highbury kitchen and the Kentish Town kitchen to provide meals for up to 200 people in the community each week. It always amazes us how creative the kitchen volunteers are at using such a small budget to prepare an intersting and diverse menu to cater for all special diets. We don't do the cooking as getting up at 6am on a Sunday is quite unrealistic for us, we do the food delivering around East London (it's a bit like Meals on Wheels). Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Food Chain will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. !!!BRING IT!!!
