Saturday 30th June I am taking part in a 13 mile midnight walk to raise money for St Lukes Hospice in Plymouth.  Ok, so it's not a marathon and I haven't done weeks of training in preperation but it is pouring with rain!  It's not about the event anyway, it's about the charity so please give generously. 

Most of you know I lost my Mum last year.   She spent her last couple of weeks being looked after by the outstanding staff at St Luke's who ensured her time there was comfortable and peaceful.  Not only that, the support and compassion they showed my family and I during this time was invaluable.  I don't know how we would have coped without St Lukes.

St Lukes depends heavily on finances raised by events such as this one and by sacrificing a few pints, a new top or shopping at Asda instead of Sainsbury's for a week, your donation could make all the difference to people like my Mum and my family.
