Story
I'm doing it again! I must be mad! But the feeling when I walked through the finish line last year was so fantastic that as soon as someone asked me "would you do it again?" I immediately said yes! For me, walking 13.1 miles was such an achievement, and now I know I can do it I just have to do it again, and hopefully this time I can raise even more money!!!
I hope you can help me out and Justgiving.com is a really easy way for you to sponser me online. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Last year I raised £350 partly online and partly the old fashioned sponsor form way. If possible please help me out by sponsoring me online as it goes straight to st luke's and cuts out the middle man!
I work for a charity supporting carers and have come into contact with lots of people who have had a loved one at St Luke's Hospice. They do a fantastic job and I know how much it means for people with illnesses and their families to know there is support out there and people they can turn to when everything is against them.
My grandfather suffered from Alzheimer's Disease and my step-father suffers from Multiple Sclerosis so I am walking for them and everyone else who has to live with a debilitating illness every day. Last year me and my mum walked together and I'm so proud of her cos she's doing it again!
So please sponsor me now! It doesn't matter how much or how little you give - every penny counts and I am just grateful that you are willing to support me. In return I will update you regularly on my training progress as I have eaten a lot of cake since last years walk, and I'll post pix so you can see how I'm doing. If you are training for the walk as well, why not let me know and we could be company for each other!
