Story

First of all, thank you for taking some of your time to visit my fundraising page!

I completed the 30th Anniversary Virgin London Marathon on 25.04.2010! My time: 5 hrs 40mins and 51sec.

I had an absolutely wonderful time and despite all the pain, tears, and sweat that went into it, I thoroughly enjoyed it and know that it was worth it for the amount of money I raised and for the feeling of crossing the finish line!

While at vet school this year in Nottingham, England, I learned about a charity called the Blue Cross that really made an impact on me. The Blue Cross is a charity that has set up animal hospitals throughout the UK and provides veterinary services to people who cannot afford typical services. This means that less animals are facing neglect and pain due to the expense that veterinary treatment can sometimes involve. This also means that owners are less reluctant to get help for their animals when they need it the most, saving unnecessary suffering.

I am going to run the London Marathon on April 25, 2010, a HUGE task at 26.2 miles, for the Blue Cross, and I'm hoping that with your help I can donate enough to provide treatment for many down-and-out families with pets. I'll be running almost every day for more than nine months in order to prepare for this event - can you take a few minutes of your day to donate? Any amount of money helps!

Thank you for your help and time. I sincerely appreciate it!
