Laura's Deva Triathlon

Deva Triathlon · 14 June 2015
On Sunday 14th June 2015 I am taking part in the 16th Olympic distance Deva Triathlon in Chester. I will be doing a 1500m open water swim up the River Dee, running in and around the city of Chester for 10km and doing a 40km cycle into Wales via Eccleston, Rossett and Borras and back into Chester via Alford and Boughton.
On top of this as part of my training plan, I am taking part in the Mad Dog 10km on 8th Feb in Southport (now completed!!), the Cheshire 10K on 18th April and the Great Manchester Run on 10th May. And also the Skipton Sprint Triathlon on 12th April which entails 400m swim, 20km bike and 5km run and the South Manchester Wilmslow Sprint Triathlon 17th May - both good preparation for the Olympic distance in June!
This is my first (..and probably last!) triathlon challenge and it will no doubt prove to be a real test of my physical stamina and endurance, as well as my mental strength and determination.
I would really appreciate if you could show your support by donating to Macmillan Cancer Support and make all my training worthwhile.
Thank you so much
