Lauren is the first baby for myself and my partner Mark Baker, tragically Lauren was stillborn on 30 November 2007 when I was 36 weeks pregnant. We had a post mortem to find out why our baby girl was taken from us and it was because there was a problem with my placenta, it stopped providing Lauren with all the nutrients she needed to grow. We miss and love her more as every day goes by, she'll always be our first born and holds such a special place in our hearts.
Sands has become my lifeline and the support I get from them and the users of the on-line forum is just great. My friend Laura Crichton and I are taken part in the West Highland Way to raise money for Sands, so please donate as it's for a great cause. The Way links Milngavie to Fort William – a distance of 152km (95 miles) - from the outskirts of Scotland’s largest city to the foot of its highest mountain, following the shores of its largest freshwater loch. It passes from the lowlands, across the Highland Boundary Fault and on into the Scottish Highlands.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SANDS gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support. Much love Leanne and Mark
