This page is dedicated in fond memory of Laurence Cranwell.

What ever you called him, Laurence, Laurie, Louis, Luigi, Lorry or Florence he was an amazing and loving craftsman who will be missed by all who had the immense pleasure of knowing him.

He lost his long fight with illness on Wednesday the 13th October 2010 and passed away suddenly just moments after finding out what had been causing him pain and suffering for over the last year.

Laurence was diagnosed with smouldering myeloma a year ago and this developed in to a very rare blood/plasma disease called AL Amyloidosis. The disease causes abnormal build of protein deposits in the organs which then causes them to fail.

As this disease is so rare, they need all the help they can to make early diagnosis and more effective treatment possible so the standards of care can be raised for sufferers of this tragic disease.

More information on Amyloidosis can be found here:

http://www.myeloma.org.uk/Page.aspx?pid=1428

Laurence leaves behind a loving wife and 3 loving sons who will forever miss his wonderful sense of humour, his music and singing, his caring nature and his amazing strength.

He will live on through the amazing furniture he created.
