I am proud to have notched up my 3rd London Marathon to raise funds for the Brain and Spine Foundation. They were an enormous help to me after my SAH in 2004 and throughout subsequent procedures and they started me on this new venture called "running" which has become a bit of a habit.
I managed a PB of 5:14:05 which was 15 minutes faster than previous. I still hope to get a sub 5 some day so I'll soon be back in training!
Neurological disorders are more common than most people think and the treatment and services are often patchy. Information available to patients and carers can be difficult. The Brain and Spine Foundation aims to help people affected by these conditions by giving them the information they need so that they and those concerned about them can better understand their symptoms and treatment options.
Thank you for all your support.
