Thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

I am going to be running a half marathon in October 2016. I have chosen the charity "Anxiety UK" as it is a charity close to my heart. 

I have suffered with a condition called Trichotillomania since I was around 12 years old. Trichotillomania is a condition where a person feels compelled to pull their hair out.They may pull out the hair on their head or in other places, such as their eyebrows or eyelashes. Trichotillomania causes low self esteem, low confidence and severe depression.

I would like to spread awareness of this condition because unfortunately, there is not a great deal of support available. 

I am very fortunate to have been able to overcome trichotillomania and grow my hair back. Many people spend thousands of pounds on wigs and weaves to be able to hide the condition. I strongly feel that more support/funding should be available for people who suffer with this condition. 

I am running the Manchester half marathon to support everyone who suffers with trichotillomania, together we can beat this!

I really hope that one day, someone will find a cure.
