My name is Lauren and I'm 23 years old. I have suffered with severe eczema since birth. At it's worst flares I've had eczema covering 95% of my body. Eczema is a chronic skin disease that affects the sufferer's social, personal and professional life. At present there is no cure and only the symptoms of the disease can be treated, not the root cause. That is why my partner and I are doing the Walk for Skin at Himley Hall, West Midlands on 20th May. The event will raise awareness and much needed funds to go into researching eczema and many other disabling skin conditions.
