It's a long way off, but in 2009 I am running the Marathon des Sables - aka 'the toughest foot race on Earth' for Hampshire Deaf Association, a Southampton-based charity. It's a 151 mile / 243 km race over 6 days, limited to around 700 runners from all over the World. That's the equivalent to 5.5 marathons in 6 days over sand dunes and rocks. I am doing the run in order to raise much needed funds for the Deaf children and young people in Hampshire. HDA is a very worthy cause in much need of the money.  Frankly, it's a ludicrous challenge which if I survive, I hope will raise £25,000 for HDA. So.... please sponsor me!
