<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">On June 1st 2011 teachers and support staff from</span><span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">Lawrence </span>Sheriff<span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">School</span><span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">are setting off on the endurance test of their lives - The National Three Peaks Challenge!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">The challenge is to climb the tallest mountain of each of Britain's countries</span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">; Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and</span><span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">Snowdon</span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">, all in 24 hours. With a total climb of 10,000 feet, total walk of 24 miles and total drive of 460 miles it's going to be anything but easy!</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">Taking on the challenge are Vicky Handley, Ally Lowther, Carla Whitmore, Georgie Pratt, Dave Scarsbrook, Andy Moore, James Riley, Chris Moore and Rob Reynolds.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">We have three drivers which will take us from peak to peak. Geoff Moore and Sam Watts, along with Georgie's mum, have very kindly volunteered to drive the long distance, which is a challenge in itself.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">The climb will start at the bottom of Ben Nevis on 1st June 2011 at 5pm and we will all *fingers crossed* finish at the bottom of</span><span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">Snowdon</span><span><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">at 5pm on 2nd June 2011.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; color: black;">This challenge requires fitness, stamina and a little bit of madness!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We not only need to climb and descend all three mountains but we need to do it quickly.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The challenge is in the name of charity and all money received will be donated to <a href="http://www.mytonhospice.org/" target="_blank">Myton Hospice</a>, please be generous and get donating!</span></p>
