Cardiff University Lacrosse World Record Attempt · 8 February 2009

Right To Play protects, educates & empowers children to rise above adversity. Using the power of play we help them stay in school, withstand exploitation, prevent disease and heal from war and abuse. We enable them to make positive choices, creating better futures for themselves and their societies.

Story

The time it takes...

   -   9.69 seconds, for Usain ‘Lightning’ Bolt to win Olympic gold

   -   7 minutes, to hard boil an egg

   -   23 minutes, to listen to Pink Floyd’s Echoes

   -   1 hour, to play a standard lacrosse match

   -   4½ hours, for the average person to run a marathon (26 miles)

   -   7 hours, for Petar Stoychev to swim the English channel

   -   12 hours... the time it takes for Cardiff University Lacrosse Club to break TWO Guinness World Records.

On 25th April 2009 Cardiff University Lacrosse Club will be taking on Cardiff University Alumni as we attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the longest ever male and female lacrosse matches!

Our efforts are in aid of the simply fantastic organisation ‘Right To Play’ whose mission statement is to –
‘...create a healthier and safer world for children through the power of sport and play!’
