Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During this four day trek for the British Heart Foundation I will be spending four days treking through remote wilderness and camping out in the elements! I have made the decision to self fund the cost part of this trip to make sure that EVERY SINGLE PENNY of my sponsorship goes straight to the BHF.

Not only will I be treking around 20km a day over water springs, volcanic rocks and table mountains but will also be going to sleep in my tent in daylight, as Iceland has 20hours of daylight at this time of year! For a girl who likes her home luxuries like soft loo roll and hair straightners, this is going to be an experience for sure! :)

My dad had a heart attack back in 2009, and without the fanstastic work of the BHF he simply wouldnt be here today. This is my chance to give something back, whilst ticking a few items of the bucketlist at the same time! :)

Having completed the walking marathon last year I am aware this is going to be pretty tough, but im up for the challenge, and prepared to get stuck in, so please dig deep and sponsor me if you can. As always il be taking lots of photos and im sure youll all be hearing about it, in detail for months after the event! :)

You can read all about the trek here https://www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/events/overseas-challenges/iceland-trek.aspx

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks

Lucy xxx
