Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Story

On Sunday 11th October 2009, I will be running the Royal Parks 1/2 Marathon to raise money for the Child Bereavement Charity, a 13.1 mile/21 kilometre course through three of London's parks.

I have chosen the Child Bereavement Charity because it looks after parents if their child dies, and children if their parents die when they are young. As a mum myself these are two of the most awful scenarios I could imagine.

This will be my first ever half-marathon and to run the entire way is going to be a real challenge. Knowing that I am raising money for a cause that I consider very important will definitely help motivate me to keep going when my stamina is dipping so please dig deep and donate through JustGiving now to help inspire a knackered out old mum like me to keep going around the half-marathon course.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page, and thank you in advance for your donations. Think of me on the 11th!

Leah xx
