Story

This October I have given myself the challenge to complete three charity events to raise money to be shared between Surf Life Saving GB and the British Heart Foundation.

My charity triple will begin on Sunday 2nd October in Cardiff with the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest race. So, what is it? It's a challenging 10km route through the city, with tough and engaging obstacles every kilometre, I will be competing against 1000s of fellow "Survival" competitors in a test of stamina, grit, speed and guts. Possibly the UK's toughest obstacle course? Maybe. Possibly the UK's most action-packed 10k. Maybe. The must-do event of this year? Definitely!!!
The second of my challenges is the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 16th October. Those that know me will know that I'm not a long distance runner and the sprint distances are more my cuppa tea...so even the training for this I am finding hidiously tough. For more info visit http://www.cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk/index.htm.

Finally, my third challenge and the 'icing on the cake' will be a Skydive from 15,000 ft on Saturday 22nd October taking place near Honiton in Devon. Myself and a colleague decided to promote this to the Surf Life Saving Club's we work with as a fundraising opportunity for themselves but got talked into doing it too...eek!
