We will be taking part in the London 5k Fun Run in the hope to raise as much money as possible for Sands, an amazing charity that is very special to both of us...
As you know I gave birth to our beautiful little girl Alana at 27 weeks on the 10th January 2011, unfortunately she was born sleeping and although it was the worst day of our lives it was also the best. The day went so quickly but the memories we have with our beautiful baby daughter will stay in our hearts forever.
George was and has been fantastic and I know Alana would be so proud of him. The support we have had from everyone has been overwhelming, especially from the Surrey Sands group. They really are an amazing group of people and have helped us so much with their ongoing support. The people that run Sands and the groups are all volunteers that have also sadly lost their beautiful babies and want to give support and help to other mums and dads. I have met some of the most wonderful people through Sands. The support we have had, has helped us get through such a difficult time - something that we had never thought we would ever go through!
This is why we would like to raise money for such a fantastic charity!
Jamie is my very close friend and Alana's Auntie, she has been with us through all of this. She has been an amazing friend and misses Alana, she knows how important Sands have been to me and George.
Please please please... If you could give anything to this amazing charity we would greatly appreciate it! Even the smallest amount would really make a difference.
Our target is £1000 but if we could raise more that would be even better, all money raised will go directly to the Surrey Sands group.
We will be running in memory of our beautiful little Alana and all her special angel friends..
