It was a miserable day and we thought we were in for a bad dose of hypothermia. We lasted only 2 hours, but it felt like a lifetime! We kept going by thinking of the misery the orphans have suffered all of their lives.

The children's sick bay at Zhordina orphanage is typically dull and depressing. It is also in desperate need of repair.

In order to help fundraise the money to carry out the essential work required I have 'foolishly' agreed to sit in a bath, in the middle of a busy Cardiff shopping street, and have beans, soup, whatever poured over me.

The forecast for the day is rain, so it will be doubly miserable, but when I see these little mites lying in their sick beds in those miserable rooms I know where I would rather be!!
