Have you heard of Le Credit Crunch Bunch 2009? Well, you will have in a minute!

Remember last year when 4 intrepid (or just bloody mad) bankers took up the challenge of cycling 500 miles across France? Well two of those nutters - Nick Broome and Richard Harrison are doing it again and this year we welcome Steve Lightfoot and Craig Carter to the posse! This years trip will take us from Rouen through Le Mans to the Loire Valley. The journey will be over the weekend of 25 - 27 September 2009 and any support you can give, however small, will be gratefully received. We understand that in these challenging times that you may not be able to be as generous as last year but that doesn't matter as we are grateful for any donation you can give.

For further information please see www.extra-mile.org.uk.

The team are:

Richard Harrison, Private Partner for Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank. Taking part this year after getting the cycling bug in last years challenge. Hopefully this year I wont drive Nick's car into a French ditch! (sorry about that Nick!). Really enjoyed being part of the team last year and hoping this year will be just as enjoyable.

Steve Lightfoot, Business Partner, Clydesdale Bank. Arguably the fittest amongst us but can his bum stand the pressure! Steve is the "virgin" of the team but we are sure he will perform!

Nick Broome, Business Partner, Clydesdale Bank. Some would say "mad" and others "foolish" but it will be another great experience never the less. .

Craig Carter - (USM), Deposit Partner , Clydesdale Bank. Newest recruit to the area after migrating from the red rose county. Craig is yet to purchase a bike which is always a good start and has insisted in only cycling downhill. Still being a Blackburn fan at least we have entertainment.

This year we are raising funds for -

Deafblind UK - a national charity offering specialist services and human support to deafblind people and thise who have progressivesight and hearing loss acquired throughout their lives www.deafblind.org.uk Deafblind are neighbours to our Peterborough office on Cygnet park.

and the NSPCC who do so much for children and we are delighted to offer our support for such a great cause. In the word of Robbie Williams "dont mind doing it for the kids" www.nspcc.org.uk - to see a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential

Thanks for your support.

Nick, Rich, Craig and Steve
