We inspire children and young people to engage positively in their communities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have run for as long as I can remember, cross country at school, then I got into long distance running mainly just for the exercise and freedom with the odd a event per year.

Then in May 2011 a friend put me onto the Brathay 10 in 10, I was hooked on two levels, on one level the sheer challenge of 262.2 miles over 10 days with a small group of like minded people really appealed, I really had not done as many organised events as many runners but felt compelled to enter.

Plus I read the website, the work that Brathay does for disadvantaged children, is quite amazing, I have always felt blessed for the good luck and positive circumstances I was raised in, it really has given me the values I live my life by and in turn I can pass on to my children, For me that is what Brathay does, by helping children its helping future generations of children.

My goal is to raise £10,000 for brathay, not because I have to because the cause benefits us all as a society in some small way. Help me raise £10,000

We work with a wide range of young people, often with fewer opportunities in life, including those managing the transition from living in care to independence, at risk of exploitation in unhealthy relationships, needing confidence to find work or training, or facing other challenges in their lives.
