Story

London Marathon.....26.2 miles - DONE

Redcar Half Marathon.....13.1 miles - DONE

After 6 months of training i've finally completed the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours 14 Mins and 24 seconds !! Also just a week before i completed the Redcar half marathon in a time of 1 hour 47 mins and 28 seconds.

Id like to thank everyone who sponsored me and has helped me raise money ver the last 6 months.

To all friends, family and colleagues,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Flora London Marathon 2009!

On 26th April 2009, I will be taking part in the Flora London Marathon. That’s 26.2 miles, all at once! This will be my first marathon, having previously run half marathons.

Also as part of my training i will be running the Redcar half marathon just one week before the London Marathon.

I have two goals – first to complete the run , and second to meet the goal of raising £1000 for my chosen charity, Sense (www.sense.org.uk).

Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. The charity was founded in 1955 as a self-help and support group for the parents of children whose disabilities were neither recognised nor provided for.

Their services include on-going support for deafblind people and families, including day services – where deafblind people have the opportunity to learn new skills, and Sense-run houses in the community – where people are supported to live as independently as possible. Their guides offer a vital lifeline to deafblind people living in their own homes.

I will run/jog/walk/crawl the 26.2 mile marathon, ALL donations are appreciated as every little helps.
