On the 25th August 2011 Lee & Rob will be undertaking the grueling 180 mile bike ride from London Eye to Paris Eye in less than a day and then a further 120 miles back from Paris to England!
Here are there personal reasons for doing this challenge ...
Lee -
In September 2005 aged only 14 months our daughter was diagnosed with Nephroblastomatosis, a rare kidney tumour, affecting both her kidneys. During the following 15 months she endured chemotherapy to save her life. She was only the 16th person in the world to be diagnosed with the disease.
Hope is now in remission! However we have to wait until she is 8 years old for her to be in complete remission.
Wishes 4 Kids granted Hope her wish to see the disney princesses and to see her smile was amazing

Over 6 years ago my sister Laura (pictured) was knocked off her bicycle and killed in a road traffic accident. Since that fateful day Martin (Laura's husband) has set up a trust in Laura's name at a charity called Wishes 4 Kids.
Martin and some of his friends have now raised a lot of money for the charity through various fund raising events so I decided to do my bit too. On September 15th 2007 I completed a bike ride from Leicester (Wigston) to Hunstanton completing the 94 mile ride in 6 hours, in 2008 I rode from Leicester to Great Yarmouth completing the 150 miles in 9 hours 40 minutes and in 2010 I rode from Leicester to Cromer covering a 120 miles in 7 hours 20 mins.
In addition to the memory of my sister I am also riding in memory of my Dad (picture with my Mum) and my Grandpa (picture with my Gran) who have both died very recently. My Dad died in September 2010 after a long with cancer and my Grandpa died in March this year after a short illness.
My memory of these people will drive us to suceed.
Wishes 4 Kids is a very worthy charity and one that Martin chose well. Each wish costs approximately £700.00 and if you look at the vast number of photos that are around the charities registered offices you can see how much it means to the children and their parents. Please give as much as you can afford to give. It means so much.
