After watching recent TV programs about the plight of the homeless I decided to investigate ways I could help. After some research on the internet I came across the Wellspring Charity, who provide a range of services for the homeless in the Stockport area.

I spent an afternoon at the WellSpring centre and was amazed at the work this small charity was doing for the local area. After spending time with Jonathan who was one of the organisers, it was clear that this charity made a real difference to those less fortunate

On April 27th 2008 I will be carrying my 14 stone 5 8" frame (yes I am a tad over weight) around the half marathon course at Stratford Upon Avon
