Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Those that know me will testify that the last time I did any sort of running, I was tubby, spotty and a nerdy teenager. Well, the spots have cleared up, I'm a fair bit older now and have decided to raise some money for the National Autistic Society (and maybe become a bit less tubby as a by-product).
My son Louis was diagnosed as Autistic in November 2007. Since then, we have had tremendous support from family, friends and the local care workers here in Essex. The National Autistic Society have also helped myself and my wife, Yogeeta to work out what Autism is all about and to help Louis in the best way we can.
Now is the perfect opportunity for us to say thank you to the NAS who struggle, as many charities do, to raise money each year to keep themselves going. To do this, I am going to take part in the Hatfield Broad Oak 10k run on 25th May this year. No doubt there will be photos of before and after so please donate whatever you can and I'll let you see them!
Also, if you see me running, walking or crawling along the streets of Dunmow in what could be described as training for this event, do NOT stop to give me a lift however much I beg!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Autistic Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks!
Lee
