London's not-for-profit legal advice agencies are facing a crisis due to problems with the new Legal Services Commission contract. Much of the funding raised through the walk will assist those agencies to survive this most difficult period.

However, the problem will simply persist unless the inadequacies of funding of legal aid are rectified. So LAG is raising funds for the social policy work which is necessary to overcome the root problems that affect all suppliers including the London advice charities.

To this end we work with our colleagues in the Access to Justice Allianceand it is this work to which we will specifically devote funds from this page.

All funds raised by this page will be donated by the London Legal Support Trust to LAG for these purposes.
