Thanks for visiting one of our Leicester Hospitals Charity fundraising pages.
Recent events include the Kidney Care Appeal Sponsored Walk at Ratcliffe College in June 2008 which raised over £30,000 followed by a Celebration of Music at Stanford Hall in October 2008 which raised a further £3,000. We are extremely grateful to each and every person that has sponsored/donated money to the appeal so far.
Future fundraising schemes and events include a clothing collection bank at the Leicester General Hospital for patients and staff alike to donate their unwanted clothing and shoes etc which is running from Thurs 19th Feb until Thurs 12th March 2009 (World Kidney Day).
We are also planning a fabulous musical afternoon to be held at Ratcliffe College on Sunday 5th July 2009- Further details to follow.
We decided to set up this page so that you can donate to the appeal easily throughout the year.
The Leicester Kidney Care Appeal is a new venture bringing together renal physicians, research scientists and fundraisers to publicise and raise funds for the vital research into kidney disease and its consequences, and innovations in patient care, that are being pioneered in the John Walls Renal Unit and in the University of Leicester Department of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation
