Story

We are participating in the Great Midlands Fun Run - 8.5 miles around Sutton Coldfield - on Sunday the 31st of May, to try and raise as much money as we can, to be donated to the Neurology Department at the Queen's Medical Centre, as a 'thank you' for everything they did for Lucie in November and December 2007.

A brief explanation...

In November 2007, Lucie was told that she had a brain tumour (a Neurocyotoma) the size of "two satsumas" (the consultant's words, not ours!). She then underwent two massive operations (8-9 hours each) in the space of four weeks, to remove it. The tumour turned out to be benign, and Lucie made an amazing recovery. At present all is well (touch wood). Lucie has slightly less sensation (touch/feel) on her right-hand side, but this is incredible considering what she went through.

Many thanks, in advance, for your support and/or donations.
