Story

Hello All,

On the 26th September 2015 Me and my mum will be trekking Snowdonia, the highest mountain in Wales to raise funds for Ruby Laura. I don’t personally know Ruby but I have followed her heartbreaking journey, she needs all the help she can get. Ruby is 3 years old and has stage 4, high risk Neuroblastoma (an aggressive childhood cancer). The cancer had spread through Ruby’s body by the time she was diagnosed, making her condition one of the most difficult kinds of childhood cancer to treat. Ruby has recently had major surgery to try and remove the tumour but they had to stop the procedure as it was putting Ruby’s life at risk, sadly they could only remove 75% of the tumour. As you can imagine her parents are devastated. Ruby’s treatment is limited in the UK. They need to raise £500,000.00 to get Ruby to the US to give her more options and a better chance of fighting cancer, so far they have raised an outstanding £375,000. As a parent myself I couldn’t bare to think what Ruby’s parents are going through seeing their little girl suffering. I’m asking for everyone to come together and please spare whatever change you have and sponsor me to help raise as much money as we can for this beautiful little girl.

Thanks Leigh & Trish xx
