Story

We did it! At around 18:30 on Wednesday 30th July we reached John o'Groats, having cycled 939 miles over 10 days. It was very tough on our bodies, but we really enjoyed the experience. More importantly, with your help, we have raised an incredible amount of money for CRY. Thank you all so much. To see some photos and stories from the trip, visit http://lejog4cry.blogspot.com

If you haven't yet sponsored us, it's not too late either!!!

Our challenge is to cycle the 950 miles from Land's End to John o'Groats in 10 days, and in doing so raise money for a charity called Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

We chose to fundraise for CRY following the death of my wife Katrina 18 months ago. She was just 30 years old. Although she was incredibly fit and healthy, she had a heart abnormality which nobody including her knew about until she collapsed and died at the finish line of the British 10k. The abnormality would have been detected had she had a simple heart scan. CRY's main aim is to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death of people aged 35 and under - of which experts believe there are at least 8 a week in the UK, and to promote screening of young people to help prevent tragedies like Katrina's happening.

Any money you donate will help save lives of young people in the UK, and mean that many families will be saved from the heartache and sorrow we are living with.

Thank you so much,

James, Nigel, Tom and Graham
