Story

Len's family and friends are partnering with the Black Cultural Archives to pay tribute to Len’s vision, life work and commitment towards creating a national centre that will stand as a living monument to Britain’s Black presence.

Through the creation of a bronze sculpture of Len, created by Fowokan George Kelly, we seek to preserve and widely disseminate his inspirational personal narrative and contribution to Black British social development and empowerment.

The sculpture will be displayed at the Black Cultural Archives’ future home in Brixton - the UK’s First National Black Heritage Centre opening in 2011 (http://www.justgiving.com/bcaheritage).

We'd be grateful if donations could be made by March 31, 2009 so that the bust can be completed this summer.

Please help us create this commemorative sculpture for future generations.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
