Last January I made the crazy decision to sign up to trek the Great Wall of China to raise much needed funds for Keech Hospice. Due to this crazy pandemic I won’t be going to China now!! I don’t think I ever fancy going to China after this! SO...... Change of plan, I am now trekking Petra instead! 

It’s going to be a huge challenge 

My reason for doing this...... I work at Keech Hospice  as a family support worker  and I work directly with patients and their family’s, I am on the front line seeing just how important the care of Keech is to these families but Keech cannot run without funds! My second reason is to keep my dads memory alive! He is the reason I am where I am today! My third reason is personal growth and my fourth is because I’m crazy! 

Between 2017/18 Keech cared for 2,344 people – children, adults and their families! 1,362 adults, 341 children and 641 relatives! This care is so so important! Keech couldn’t provide this amazing care without fundraising as it costs over £6 million to run the Hospice and 70% of their income comes from fundraising!
