Unfortunately my abseil attempt on 17 July was cancelled, so I have had to reschedule for 4 September, but rest assured I will definitely be doing it!!

I was diagnosed with a myeloproliferative disorder ( MPD) a year ago.  MPD is a rare group of blood disorders which can cause strokes, heart attacks, debilitating fatigue and can lead to leukaemia or bone marrow failure.  The combination of symptoms and side effects from medication make every day life a challenge.

MPD Support is a charity which aims to educate sufferers about their condition and provide much needed help and emotional support. It funds UK research for better treatments and a possible cure..

Finding the MPD support website has been so helpful to me. I have been able to find reliable good quality information about my condition. It is encouraging to know that I am not alone and there is support available to me.
