As you probably know, I will graduate on July 13th and then it will be my 21st birthday on July 24th. Perhaps though, you were unaware of the Niger food crisis in which 7.2 out of Niger's 10million people are without food.
Last October and November, Niger, the 5th poorest country in the world had poor rainfall causing no crops to grow in May. Nigeriens heavily rely on subsistence farming so no crops=no food. Millions of people could die. That is unless we help them.
So far Plan International have bought 2500 tonnes of maize from Benin and along with 1000 tonnes from the World Food Programme, Plan has been able to help 200,000 people so far. But this first round of aid is not enough as the food crisis continues so Plan want to give a second round of aid.
Plan International is a fantastic organisation, they really do their best to help people in need and to help start and maintain long-term development projects in disadvantaged countries and communities.
So instead of buying me a celebratory card or
present for my graduation or 21st, could you please help to donate
towards helping these needy people? It would make me very happy and
will help to save lives, especially of the most vulnerable people, the babies.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
