Thank you for taking the time to visit Lewis's JustGiving page.
We lost Lewis on April 19th 2010, when he was only seventeen. He lived with diabetes throughout his life, since he was diagnosed at the age of three. For this reason his family have chosen for money to be raised for Diabetes UK, in his name.
Since this JustGiving page has been set up in the memory of Lewis, there have been numerous suggestions for fund-raisers and charity events, organised by Lewis' friends and family, to raise even more money for Diabetes UK (See links for additional further information):
May 2010:
The leftwing student paper, Militant Student publishes a tribute to Lewis in their first ever issue.
June:
19th - British Gas Great East Swim 2010 - Alton Water, Suffolk, our swimmer: Laura Soall
The total amount raised has been confirmed as £455.50, although this has been submitted through other means. So technically, we've actually raised way more than £3000.
24th - Thanks to the "What Would Lewis Do?" wristbands, organised by Natasha Page, an advertisement has appeared our very own Brentwood Gazette to raise further awareness for Diabetes UK.
July:
2nd - Lewis' Concert - St Martins School, Hutton, Brentwood, Essex.
The total amount raised has been confirmed as a fantastic £1314.72
Herington House School, Hutton, Essex, has raised £115 as part of 'Tell a Joke day' and an organised raffle.
August:
The Satellites Talking poetry, comedy and music night run by Mary Bruton, one of Lewis' former Theatre Studies teachers, has raised a further £118.

November
After a bake sale and wristband sale, organised by Eric Lucid, The Ursuline School in Brentwood raised around £150.
The 'What Would Lewis Do?' wristbands, organised by Natasha Page, manage to raise a total of £245!
January 2011

Further small donations and anonymous donations throughout 2011 bring the total up to more than £5500! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, we have completely smashed our target of £1000.
