Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My name is Lexie Newlands and I have decided to visit Ghana in the Summer of 2009 with The Sabre Charitable Trust, in partnership with Chesham High School. Whilst in Ghana I will be doing project work as part of a team made up of my classmates. We will choose a project that is designed by the community and we will work with skilled craftsmen and women to ensure the expedition is a success. The money that I raise will go towards the costs of this project, my flights, accomodation, planning and safety equiptment.

Donating through Just giving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Sabre Charitable Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Just giving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I am traveling to Ghana in Summer 2009 and I need to raise £2500. To achieve this I am going to run a kind of 'reverse treasure hunt', called 'Where there's muck there's brass'. This involves a field, and you will be able to buy a 2.5m by 2.3m square for £5, and once all of the 504 squares are bought, I will let a horse into the field. Whichever square the horse excretes in first will be the winning square. This is worth £100 to the winner. You can buy squares in here or in person. If you would like to buy a square(s) here please give £5 a square and leave your name and phone number in case you win! You never know...
Good Luck!
Here is a plan of the field, if you would like to specify a co-ordinate, please leave this with your comment.

UPDATE: 14/08/08

Thank you so much for all of your donations. I am now 25% of the way there and I am so pleased and grateful for this. Don't stop now! I still have a long way to go, but I know with all of your help I can achieve my goals.
