our story:

During our 12 week scan a problem was found with liam's tummy after various tests and scans doctors confirmed to us that liam had a rare condition known as edwards syndrome , which is fatal condition - from this point we had to make some of the most difficult decisions in our lives with doctors offering things like termination , we felt that we should give our son liam the best possible chance in life as there was a small percent of cases were the baby could live upto 1 year.

On monday 7th may 2012 we had just arrived in perranporth in cornwall for a 5 day break away at this time my partner sharon was 32 weeks and 2 days during monday evening she could not sleep or settle anywhere so we called into the doctors who advised us to make our way the royal cornwall hospital in truro and early tueday morning found the sharon was fully dilated which surprised both of us as there was no normal signs of labour and at that time liams heart was still beating strong.

On tuesday 8th may 2012 at 6.31am liam was delivered at a weight of 3lbs 1/4oz. Liam was born asleep.

We wanted to make this page in memory of our son who was brave upto the very end.

We also found that there are not many charities that help to find out causes for edwards syndrome so instead we want to help the royal cornwall hospitial who delivered liam with such personal touch and were really great and helpfull towards us, we wish to thank all midwifes that helped and advised us.

Liam will never be forgotten and through these pages and giving may help others
