Brighton Marathon 2010 · 18 April 2010 ·

Our vision is an Africa where every child has equal access to quality education, as we believe education is the key to overcoming poverty. We provide infrastructure and empower whole communities to transform schools into thriving learning environments that build brighter, better futures.

Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my justgiving page!

As you can see from the page title, I'll be running the Brighton marathon on Sunday 18th April 2010, for African Revival - a charity that has made a difference to the lives of thousands of African men, women and children.

My aim is to raise £2,000 to go towards sports equipment for schools in the town of Gulu, Uganda. The link below came from an interview with a Child at a school I hope to help - Dickson (his English name) is also madly into football but his school have no equipment, not a single ball!

Despite all of the suffering and conflict that Ugandan children like Dickson have faced, during a trip over there last year I found that they seem to forget all of their worries when they hit the sports field.

Training has resulted in me giving up drinking, getting up before 8am, wearing leggings and walking in constant pain. So, as David Brent once said...if you think I'm brilliant (or like the cause!) then give generously!

Thank you again,

Liam
