On September 30th I ran the Great North Run with my brother, Brendan!!

We completed the course in 2hrs 1min 40secs!

 My chosen charities are MAKE-A-WISH, who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses, and the British Liver Trust.

The British Liver Trust is the UK's only National Charity helping people with all 100+ forms of liver disease.

As some of you may know, my cousin, Joseph died a few years ago, while still only 24,  from a liver related condition. While liver conditions are often associated with drink problems, this was not the case with Joseph and he and his Mum received a lot of support and information from the British Liver Trust during his fight with illness.

Myself and Joseph grew up together and were always competing in a range of physical  and mental activities; football, swimming, cricket, in fact any sport you could mention, and CHESS!

Running was another of the sports we often did together and against each other so I hope that running the Great North Run was an appropriate way of honouring his memory.

I would therefore much appreciate any help and support you can offer for BOTH of the causes I ran for!!
