Story

  Thanks for visitinour fundraising pag

What We Did?!? On September 27th we travelled to the remote village of Forte in Brazil for 11 days. Approximately 200 people live in the village which is rich in culture and history. We helped to build a new classroom for the community school, repairing the roof, painting walls, plastering etc. It was hard work but 150% worth it!!

Why Are We Doing It? Bobby Moore, who will always be remembered for captaining England to World Cup Glory in 1966, tragically died of Bowel Cancer aged just 51. The Bobby Moore Fund currently raises over £1 million each year - AND WE WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS. One of the objectives of this is also to raise awareness of bowel cancer so:

Bowel Cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death, claiming around 44 lives each day in the UK.

Around two-thirds of bowel cancer cases could be prevented by changes to lifestyle e.g. plenty of exercise, maintaining a healthy body weight and eating a healthy diet.

Another form of cancer which lies close to our hearts is Breast Cancer which has recently touched wonderful wonderful women who we LOVE VERY MUCH. We are also doing this to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.

In the UK, around 125 women a day are diagnosed with Cancer and around 35 women a day loose their battle against it.

Breast Cancer survival rates are better the earlier the cancer is diagnosed.... www.cancerscreening.nhs.uk/breastscreen/breastawareness.html

Please give all you can to support this amazing charity - together we will beat Cancer! We appreciate every penny you can afford... it means the world to us....Thank You! xx
