Story
OK - hands up all those who think library workers are boring book-nerds?
Well, you couldn't be more wrong! (and how long is it since you last visited your local library?)
So, in order to help smash that stereotpye I'm going Stunt Driving!
On Sunday 13th June, 2010 I am doing a six-part Stunt Driving Challenge at Northampton International Raceway, to raise money for the Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance Service - let's hope it all goes according to plan and I don't actually need to call them out!
But on that note, let's not forget that each and every one of us is a potential candidate for their services!
Now, if I'm going to risk life and limb, why should YOU miss out on the fun too?
Here's how you can help - make a donation by sponsoring me to complete the challenges (and live to tell the tale....!)
I'll be posting regular updates (and pics of the event!) here and at my blog: http://www.irefusetogoquietly.blogspot.com/
So, dig deep in your pockets, or indeed - dig down the back of the sofa, raid the kids' piggy banks....(no, perhaps not THAT!) and please tell anyone you know who might like to help me reach (or hopefully 'smash'!) my target of £1,000.
Let's keep the Air Ambulance where it needs to be - up in the air!
Many thanks!
Sue Harding
(... oh, and next time you read a library book think of me on the race way! Library workers, boring? Nah!)
