About the charity
:
RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
The RNLI saves lives at sea. RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. An average of 22 people are rescued every day from the water, in situations which are often difficult and sometimes dangerous. The RNLI is independent from Government, relying on donations for its income, so can only continue thanks to people like you. The RNLI is a charity, registered in England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

I know many of you are enjoying reading the 'Lifeboat Scrapbook' on a regular basis and a number of regular readers have asked to make donations. Perhaps this is the best way for you to do this? Don't feel obliged to danate but if you would like to you will be helping us to continue the good work. Many thanks John
