At Northern Ireland Hospice, we care for more than 4,000 babies, children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, both in Hospice and in the community. We look after every patient's nursing, medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs with support for their family continuing into bereavement.

Story

Christmas is a time to remember loved ones……

At Northern Ireland Hospice we understand how hard Christmas can be for those who have lost a loved one. This is why we run our Lights to Remember Appeal. It provides a way to remember all our loved ones at Christmas.

This year is particularly poignant for Hospice as it will be our last Christmas in the current Somerton House before essential work begins on rebuilding the hospice into one which is fit for our times.

Our appeal focuses on a very special Christmas tree standing in the grounds of Hospice, which we hope by Christmas Eve will be shining with thousands of lights sponsored by people like you and me.  Each light shining in memory of a child, partner, relative or friend will be a bright reminder of the love and happiness they brought into our lives.  (Anyone can be remembered in this way and do not need to have been cared for by the Hospice).

Demand for hospice care is ever increasing and sadly there will be many people in need of our services this coming year. We need your support to ensure they get the help they need. Your donation will mean a huge amount to them…so please join us by making a donation or sponsoring a light for your loved one and allow us to join you in remembering this Christmas.

Thank you

Paul Clark, President, Northern Ireland Hospice
