Story

Special memories at Christmas

Christmas time is filled with joy and celebration; but for many people, it is also an extremely difficult time. At Christmas our thoughts often turn to those who are sadly no longer with us. This is why we have our Lights to Remember appeal each year.

Our appeal focuses on a very special Christmas tree at Hospice, lit by thousands of lights, all individually sponsored. Each light is special because it shines in memory of a loved one, a beloved child, mother, husband, relative or close friend.

I hope you can join me by sponsoring a light now and that by Christmas Eve our tree will shine brightly in memory of our loved ones who brought so much warmth to our lives.

Thank you

Paul Clark, President

Northern Ireland Hospice

PS Please come along to our Lights ceremony on the 19th December. The evening starts with refreshments at 6.30pm followed by our Lights ceremony at 7.30pm at Dominican College, Fortwilliam, Belfast. This will be followed by a torchlight procession to Hospice on Somerton Road where the tree lights will be switched on at 8.15pm.
