Story
We need your help if the hospice is to continue providing a service for local people.
The hospice’s services are free but we receive less than 23% of our annual costs from government and so have to fundraise almost £6,000 every single day of the year to make ends meet. Our friends in the community are a central part of the team which together provides a crucial local service.
The hospice provides special care to help people at differing stages of their illness. We help them and their families and carers to live life to the full.
We help patients in the hospice and at home, their families and carers make the most of every day. We have a 15 bed In-patient Unit staffed by specialist nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and other professionals. This offers end of life care and provides rehabilitation, symptom control and respite care to help those living with their condition. We run a busy Day Care Centre which helps people live independently at home for as long as they are able. Our Social Work team helps patients and families with practical and emotional needs, whilst spiritual support is provided by our dedicated chaplaincy team.
